Even amid all of the credit card regulations, it is clear that consumers have changed their perception and their use of credit cards. According to data from the Federal Reserve, revolving credit fell by nearly 20% in November, the largest drop on record, showing that more consumers are saying ‘no’ to credit. It’s been talked about for close to a year and last Monday, the day for credit card regulation arrived. The reform includes changes from restrictions on finance charges, rate increases and billing to new regulations for consumers under the age of 21 to access credit.
